[Perfect for expressing realistic damage] This　is a material for chipping a technique used in military models to express the state where the car body color has peeled off and the underlying color is visible. After applying a base coat with lacquer-based paint apply chipping liquid using a brush or airbrush and then top coat with acrylic paint. If you apply water to the area you want to chip and leave it for a few minutes you will be able to easily remove the top coat of acrylic paint with a toothpick. Since the paint is actually removed it is possible to create realistic damage that is a little different from scratches drawn with a brush.

[Basic specifications]　Comes in a 40ml square bottle. Safe water-based type. * Lacquer paint (LP TS AS surfacer) is used for the base color (glossy metallic colors are not allowed *matte metallic colors are allowed). Please use acrylic paint for topcoat.

■The way the chipping liquid is applied and the amount of time that has elapsed since the top coat is applied will change the way it peels off. Do a test beforehand to get a feel for it.

■The chipping liquid is water-based making it easier to repel.
　When applying repeat the process of applying thin layers.
　When painting with an airbrush repeat sandblasting and apply multiple layers. (*1)

■If it is difficult to apply dilute it to 20% with water. If it is too diluted it will bounce more easily.

■The degree of peeling changes depending on the thickness of the chipping liquid layer.
　Please test in advance to check the thickness of the application and how easily it will peel.

■When applying the top coat the paint may crack. (*2)
　Please note that cracks are more likely to occur in the following cases.
　　・Spray top coat paint all at once.
　　・The layer of chipping liquid is too thick.
　　・Apply top coat when humidity is high.

■Water is applied when removing the topcoat but the color tone of the topcoat may change if it is soaked in water for a long time. After applying chipping do not leave it unattended and wipe off the moisture thoroughly.
　・If you wipe it off with a rubbing motion the top coat will come off unintentionally. Please wipe off moisture with a tissue or cloth.

■Please refrain from masking as the top coat will peel off. (*3)
