หลักการคือ ในการว่ายน้ำต้องใช้การทักษะการเคลื่อนไหวหลายส่วนในร่างกายพร้อมกัน อุปสรรคในการโฟกัสการฝึกส่วนต่างๆนั้นคือการหายใจ Focus Snorkel เป็นตัวแยกอุปสรรคเรื่องการหายใจออกมาจากบรรดาทักษะทั้งหลายที่ต้องโฟกัสจะช่วยให้เราหายใจใต้น้ำในขณะเอาสติไปโฟกัสเรื่องร่างกายจนกล้ามเนื้อมันจำก่อน

ยกตัวอย่างการฝึกตีขากบในท่ากบ(Breaststroke) ถ้าไม่มี Snorkel เราก็ต้องจับโฟมและผงกหัวหายใจเป็นระยะ ความจำของกล้ามเนื้อไม่มีประสิทธิภาพเท่าการใส่ Snorkel แล้วตีขาไปตลอดความยาวของสระ กล้ามเนื้อสามารถจดจำได้ภายในชั่วโมงการฝึกเดียว

The shape of the tube is one of the big benefits of the Focus snorkel—instead of your standard tube shape it is triangular. Because the edge of the snorkel that rests against your head is flat there is less rolling or sliding back-and-forth of the snorkel while you swim.
The snorkel also wraps tightly around the head which means it’s also flopping around less when you are swimming at speed or doing flip-turns.
The Focus snorkel comes in two different sizes (a regular and a small fit) and a bunch of different colors.

2.Arena Swim Snorkel
A training snorkel is the perfect aid for focusing on position in the water and stroke efficiency. Our Swim Snorkel III lets you continually breathe under water without lifting or turning your head. It has a one-way purge valve that prevents you from inhaling water making it an ideal snorkel for beginners. It’s front mounted and rotates so you can easily talk with your swim coach during drills. Finished with a new adjustable strap and practical clip.
